Affiliate Disclosure
Portuguese Resources participates in affiliate programs for some of the learning resources featured on this site. This page exists so you know exactly how that works.
What this means
Some links on this site (clearly used inside reviews of paid products) are affiliate links. When you click one and sign up or purchase, this site may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. In some cases the affiliate partner offers a discount or trial credit that's only available through the affiliate link. When that's the case the review will say so.
How recommendations are made
Reviews are written first; affiliate links are added second. A resource gets included in the library because it earns a place editorially, not because of its commission rate. Free resources sit alongside paid ones in every catalog view, and the pros-and-cons format means you see what a resource is actually weak at, not just what its publisher would like to highlight.
Specifically: many of the resources in the catalog have no affiliate program at all (Anki decks made by communities, free university textbooks, independent YouTube creators, public dictionaries). They're included because they're useful. The catalog is not an affiliate funnel.
Affiliate programs we participate in
We participate in (or have applied to) affiliate programs from a range of established Portuguese-relevant learning brands. The current list is small while the site is new and will grow as approvals come through. Reach out via the contact page if you'd like the latest list.
FTC compliance
This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255 (Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising). If you have any questions about how a specific resource was included, please get in touch.
